Notice of Annual General Meeting of Financial Executives Institute of Australia and Annual Members’ Cocktail Party

The 50th Annual General Meeting of Financial Executives Institute of Australia will be held at 5.30pm on Thursday 26 July of the Union, University & Schools Club, 25 Bent Street, Sydney.

Immediately following the AGM there will be the Annual Members’ Cocktail Party until 7.30pm.  There is no charge for this event for those that come to the AGM.  The cocktail party is an annual event for FEI members only and provides an opportunity to meet fellow members.  In particular, we encourage the new mentees and other members who have joined in the past year to attend.

The business of the AGM will be:

  1. To receive the Directors’ Report, the Financial Report and the Auditor’s Reports for the year ended 31 March 2018. The reports are available here.
  2. To elect the directors. Under the Constitution, a third of the board has to resign each year.  The following directors will resign with effect from the AGM and all have offered themselves for re-election:

Brett Redman, CFO, AGL

David Malek, CFO, Brisbane Airport Corporation

Tim Regan, COO, George Institute for Global Health

David Craig, NED, Lendlease

Keith Neate, former CFO, Aurizon

Michael Bradburn, CFO, Ausgrid

 3. To transact any other business that may be brought before the meeting in accordance with FEI's Constitution.

Under FEI's constitution, nominations for the position of director (who must be a member) must be in writing by a member, accompanied by the signed consent of the nominee to act, and must be received by the Secretary at least two business days before the meeting. Questions for the auditor, PwC, must be submitted in writing and emailed to the Company Secretary by 18 July 2018.

 A proxy may be appointed using a Proxy form for 2018 which can be downloaded by clicking here and should be received by the Company Secretary not less than 24 hours prior to the meeting (see the directions on the form).
